With so much information available these days, there is no reason to get stuck with a lemon when you buy used.
Slower Depreciation of Value
The second you drive a new car off the lot, it starts losing value, and it continues to lose value at an alarming rate. That's not the case with a used car, however. Older cars retain their value fairly steadily, maybe going down somewhat in value each year.
Compared to new cars, which lose value daily, you're much better off with an older model. If you change your mind, you could easily sell your used car for what you paid for it. The same can't be said for a new car.
